Legal Description

Beginning at a stake in the southern line of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad right-of-way, the mortheast corner of the Springs Mills, Inc. land, and runs thence with the southern line of the Railroad right-of-way South 65 degrees 15 minutes East 539 feet to the northern right-of-way line of the hard-surfaced highway from Laurinburg to Maxton designated as U.S. Highway No. 74; thence with the northern line of the highway right-of-way along a curve in a northwesterly direction 560 feet to a corner of the Springs Mills, Inc. land, thence with its line North 24 degrees 45 minutes East 68.8 feet to the beginning, containing 4/10ths of an acre, more or less, as surveyed by W. E. Matthews, Registered Engineer, in December. 1936, but excepting from the above, right-of-way for Kaiser road along the western line and right-of-way for U.S. 34 along the southern line of the lot herein described and subject to all rights of way and easements recorded prior to and subsequent covenants and easements of record. Subject to restrictive covenants and easements of record. The above tract is that same tract described in that deed recorded in the Scotland County Registry in Deed Book 1679, page 157.
